Giving Birth is an author driven documentary that explores the issue of abortion in Ecuador, where unwanted pregnant women are forced into clandestine practices due to a strict ban. At the same time, we follow a female curator in Belgium preparing for childbirth, creating a stark contrast between reproductive rights and choices in different parts of the world.

Through personal stories and a critical systemic analysis, the film weaves together the broader power structures that shape gender, class, and reproductive autonomy.
